Cheap vs. good value: 5 things to check before you buy
- A batch-matched COA. The lab report should match the batch on your pack and show THCa, delta-9 THC and total THC, plus contaminant testing. Learn the 60-second version in How to Read a Hemp COA.
- Weight on the label. "Pre-roll" with no gram weight is a red flag. A 2g joint should say 2g.
- The cone and the pack. Evenly packed, no hollow tip, no stems poking through, and a sealed tube or pack that keeps it fresh.
- Burn and flavor. A clean, even burn with no canoeing usually means properly cured flower and even packing. Harsh, hot smoke usually means the opposite.
