1. What is THC-P?

THC-P (tetrahydrocannabiphorol) is a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in the cannabis plant in trace amounts. It is reported to be potent. Experiences vary from person to person, and no effect is guaranteed.

2. How is commercial THC-P made?

Because the plant makes so little of it, commercial THC-P is typically made from hemp-derived CBD. That's common across the category, and it matters for the 2026 federal rules (see question 5).

3. How is THC-P different from THCA?

5. Is THC-P legal?

It depends on where you live and when. Federal hemp rules change under P.L. 119-37, as extended by H.R. 6500 §2019. On November 12, 2026, the new hemp definition begins, but until December 11 it only applies to products containing cannabinoids not capable of being naturally produced by the cannabis plant. On December 11, 2026, cannabinoids synthesized or manufactured outside the plant are excluded. That typically includes commercial THC-P and delta-8. A total-THC standard and a 0.4 mg total THC per container cap also start that day. How this applies to a given product is a call for counsel, and our THC-P lineup may change. 6. Can I get THC-P in Texas or Florida?

Florida, yes, for adults 21+ and personal use only. Texas, no: THC-P products are not available in Texas. Our THCA flower, THCA pre-rolls, diamond-infused THCA pre-rolls and Sno Caps can ship to Texas for personal use only. Texas readers can see THCA in Texas 2026. Other states vary, so check yours.

7. How do I read a THC-P COA?

Every batch is tested by ACS Laboratory, an ISO 17025-accredited third-party lab. The COA lists each cannabinoid measured. Find the batch number on your package, then match it on our lab results page. Our guide on how to read a hemp COA covers the layout.

8. Why does my THC-P COA show delta-8?

THC-P products' COAs also show delta-8 THC. That's why we tell everyone to check the COA for the full cannabinoid profile, not just the THC-P line. Some COAs also list a total THC figure, calculated as delta-9 THC plus 0.877 times THCA.

9. How much should a first-timer start with?

Start low and go slow. With a pre-roll, take one small draw, then wait a good while before deciding on more. A 2g pre-roll holds a lot, so there's no need to finish it. Keep them sealed in their tube or an airtight container. Store them somewhere cool and dark, away from heat and direct sun. Skip the fridge and freezer, since moisture and temperature swings can hurt flower. Many people aim for a relative humidity of roughly 55 to 62 percent.
